Macao Showcases Family Tourism Initiatives in Saudi Arabia

The Macao Government Tourism Office wraps up its successful roadshow in Riyadh, emphasizing family-friendly offerings to strengthen tourism ties.

Macao’s recent roadshow in Riyadh has brought family tourism initiatives to the forefront as part of its promotional strategy. Hosted at The Ritz-Carlton on February 25, 2025, the event was a tremendous success attracting numerous travel industry professionals and stakeholders.

The roadshow presented Macao’s various attractions focusing on family-friendly offerings in culture, adventure, and luxury. Representatives from the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) engaged in direct discussions with attendees, shedding light on Macao’s unique experiences for family travel.

“We are thrilled with the success of our roadshow in Riyadh,” said Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of MGTO. “This event highlighted not only our rich attractions but also our commitment to reinforcing ties with this critical market within the GCC region.”

Additionally, MGTO introduced specific campaigns aimed at attracting Saudi travelers, including halal-friendly dining and accommodations tailored to Muslim travelers.

The event demonstrated a significant growth in interest towards Macao as a prime travel destination, with 2024 seeing almost double the visitor numbers from Saudi Arabia compared to the previous year.
