Gama Aviation Reports Growth in Business Aviation Traffic at Sharjah International Airport

Gama Aviation is set to unveil its new Fixed Base Operation facility at Sharjah International Airport, aiming to improve business aviation services.

Gama Aviation is gearing up to display its dedication to top-tier business aviation services by introducing its new Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facility at Sharjah International Airport during the inaugural Business Aviation Asia Forum & Expo, also known as BAAEEx 2025, at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore.

Set for opening in 2025, the Sharjah FBO serves as a strategic alternative for business aviation operators, especially given the diminishing slot availability at Dubai International Airport. The facility will provide uninterrupted operations with no slot limitations, ensuring efficient turnaround times of 30 to 40 minutes and quick taxi durations. Notably, many BAAFEx attendees find the Sharjah FBO to be a prime technical stop for flights connecting the Far East, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while also providing easy access to the UAE’s Northern Emirates and Downtown Dubai.

Tom Murphy, Managing Director of FBO Services at Gama Aviation, highlighted the operational advantages of the Sharjah FBO: “Our Sharjah FBO is already accommodating a growing volume of Asian operators seeking efficiency and convenience. These operators greatly benefit from reduced turnaround times, dedicated fueling, minimal taxi times and zero slot restrictions.”

Moreover, Gama’s new facility aims to boost existing operational efficiencies, featuring premium hangar capabilities for ACJ and BBJ aircraft, competitive lease rates, and licensed engineers for specific line maintenance requirements.

Celebrating ten successful years of FBO operations in Sharjah, this significant development emphasizes Gama Aviation’s commitment to its global expansion. The company is also poised to begin construction on another FBO facility in Jersey, Channel Islands, this year, reinforcing its position in the FBO market.

At BAAFEx 2025, attendees can engage with key executives from Gama Aviation, including Matt Birch (FBO Manager, Gama Sharjah FBO) and Engin Basyurt (Head of Business Development).
