Klook Collaborates with CrescentRating and HalalTrip to Enhance Muslim-Friendly Travel Experience

Klook, in partnership with CrescentRating and HalalTrip, is set to redefine the Muslim-friendly travel landscape by integrating Halal travel ratings into its platform.

Klook has teamed up with CrescentRating and HalalTrip, renowned leaders in Halal travel. This initiative was unveiled at the NATAS Travel Fair in Singapore and aims to directly incorporate CrescentRating’s trusted Muslim-friendly ratings into Klook’s platform, thereby facilitating seamless experiences for Muslim travelers.

This partnership seeks to meet a significant need within the travel industry, establishing a new benchmark for inclusivity. By offering clearly authenticated ratings on Klook’s listings, Muslim travelers will receive verified information, enhancing their booking process.

“This partnership is more than just a collaboration—it’s a commitment to empowering Muslim travelers worldwide,” said Raudha Zaini, Partnership Lead at CrescentRating and HalalTrip.
Translation: “Este partenariat é mais do que uma colaboração—é um compromisso em capacitar viajantes muçulmanos em todo o mundo.”

Sarah Wan, General Manager at Klook, stressed the importance of this collaboration:

“At Klook, we’re committed to making travel experiences accessible to all communities.”
Translation: “Na Klook, estamos comprometidos em tornar as experiências de viagem acessíveis a todas as comunidades.”

This engaging partnership emphasizes the burgeoning market of Muslim travelers, who often have specific travel needs beyond what traditional services offer. Studies reflect that criteria like halal food availability and prayer facilities are critical for Muslim travelers when planning their trips.

As this partnership unfolds, experiences will predominantly focus on Southeast Asia, where there is a vast Muslim population and a projected travel expenditure of $48 billion by 2025. Current trends indicate that international Muslim visitor arrivals are on the rise, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and leading to a projected market value of $225 billion by 2028.
