Avianca Becomes the Official Carrier of the Barranquilla Carnival

Avianca, Colombia's leading airline, has been named the official airline for the Barranquilla Carnival, promising enhanced connectivity for travelers.

Avianca has been honored as the official airline for the Barranquilla Carnival, emphasizing its strong ties to the city of Barranquilla where it was founded over 105 years ago. The airline will provide more than 120 weekly direct flights from cities like Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, and Miami to facilitate travel to the carnival festivities occurring in early March.

Avianca’s comprehensive network ensures passengers from diverse destinations—such as Spain, France, and the United Kingdom in Europe, as well as countries across the Americas—can easily access Barranquilla.

“For Avianca, it is an honor to be part of such an iconic celebration as the Barranquilla Carnival. Our airline was born in this city, and we feel deeply connected to its people and traditions. We want everyone to experience this unique event, which is why we are offering our extensive route network and actively participating in the carnival’s official program,” said Ana María Copete, Director of Commercial Development at Avianca.

Under the motto “We fly so you can say: ‘Those who live it, enjoy it!’”, Avianca encourages travelers to join in on the celebrations during this vibrant event.
