New Dubai Flight
Drukair, the Royal Bhutan Airlines, has recently inaugurated a new twice-weekly flight service connecting Paro and Dubai, set to commence in October 2024. This route is expected to enhance Bhutan’s accessibility for travelers from America, Europe, and the Middle East, solidifying tourism, trade, and diplomatic relations between Bhutan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

By introducing a variety of exclusive offers on the new route, the airline aims to attract more travelers:
- 20% promotional discount airfare using promo code “DUBAI20”.
- 30% discount for Frequent Flyer Programme members.
- 10% discount for groups of 10 or more.
- 15% discount for MICE groups with an SDF waiver.
- 30% discount on cargo rates.
Airfare Subsidies
Bhutan has also initiated subsidised airfare for international visitors, offering approximately 25% off flights for those paying the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF). This initiative aims to enhance tourism while promoting sustainability, valid until 31 December 2025.
“The launch of the Dubai route marks an important step in enhancing Bhutan’s global connectivity,” stated Director Damcho Rinzin. “This link promotes Bhutan as a high-value destination while providing visitors a seamless travel experience.”

Drukair has partnered with Marhaba, a premium service provider at Dubai International Airport, to ensure passengers receive personalized assistance, including baggage transfers and onward check-in support.
