Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’s Tourism Sector

Investors and industrialists explored potential opportunities at the recent Tourism Summit held in GIS. Madhya Pradesh is highlighted as a state with extensive possibilities for tourism investment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that the focus on tourism will be crucial for the upcoming Global Investors Summit. The state is working diligently to enhance tourism infrastructure and connectivity, making it easier for visitors to experience the unique attractions available.

“Madhya Pradesh offers an extraordinary wildlife tourism experience while fostering environmental conservation,” said Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Continuous improvements are being made, including the activation of regular air services to boost tourist confidence.

Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat affirmed that tourism is pivotal for India’s GDP by 2047, estimating contributions to exceed 10%. Amid rising domestic tourism, he encouraged investors to take advantage of the opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

Tourism Minister Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi added that the state has developed investor-friendly policies and is becoming a prime location for film production.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi shared his affection for Madhya Pradesh, asserting that local tourism should not be overlooked. Principal Secretary Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla provided insights on tourism projects, investor benefits, and ongoing initiatives under the Tourism Policy 2025.

The state has garnered investment proposals worth over ₹4,468 crore, aimed at enhancing tourism infrastructure including cruise tourism, hotels, and ultra-mega projects.
