A collaborative study by The Data Appeal Company and Mabrian, both members of the Almawave Group, illuminates critical trends that will shape tourism in Germany’s capital by analyzing digital footprints and market behaviors.
Growth in Air Traffic and Market Dynamics
Recent findings from Mabrian indicate a significant surge of 11.7% in air capacity compared to the first half of 2024, especially among domestic travelers. Key international markets including Austria, Switzerland, and Turkey are adding more routes welcomed by travelers.
Carlos Cendra articulated, “Air connectivity is expected to grow by 3.8% in the next six months, spurred by an 11.5% increase in seats offered by traditional airlines.
Visitor Sentiment and Experience
The analysis of two million digital footprints highlights the top sources of travel reviews. Notably, 45% of digital content is generated by domestic travelers. Travelers from Italy and the UK also contribute significantly.
In terms of satisfaction, British and Polish travelers scored 84 out of 100, especially valuing hospitality. Tourist preferences reveal varied interests, with Polish travelers favoring family activities, while Turkish visitors enjoy cultural attractions.
Accommodations and Visitor Profiles
The study identifies hotels as the favored accommodation choice (81.8%), particularly for domestic visitors (85%).

Cultural tourism fuels traveler interest (accounting for 49%), with growing trends in gastronomy and nature tourism.

Landmarks like Alexanderplatz and the Brandenburg Gate continue to lead in visitor reviews and sentiment engagement.

ITB Berlin 2025 is expected to attract approximately 113,000 attendees, generating significant revenue for tourism and solidifying Berlin’s status as a premier MICE destination.
