Global airline Emirates has kicked off a series of pilot recruitment roadshows in Macao Special Administrative Region, China.
The recruitment initiative meets the increasing demand for air travel. The sessions in Macao will occur at 1 PM and 6 PM on March 6, with an additional session at 10 AM on March 7. Registration is not mandatory, and pilots need only attend one of the sessions.
During these sessions, prospective pilots will learn about Emirates’ recruitment process, job openings, training programs, career advancement, and employee benefits, and have opportunities to interact with current Emirates pilots.
Transforming the Recruitment Process
In the past year, Emirates has made notable improvements to its pilot recruitment strategy, including increased salaries, new positions, and a revised eligibility framework. Experienced pilots can apply for one of four main programs: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and First Officers Non-Type Rated.
Brian Tyrrell stated: “Emirates pilots operate a modern all-wide-body fleet serving over 148 global destinations. Our pilots benefit from comprehensive training at Emirates’ advanced facilities, and they enjoy life in the dynamic city of Dubai. We are on an ambitious growth path and are keen to welcome pilots from Macao to join our team.”

Exciting Advantages for Pilots
Pilots at Emirates can experience a wide variety of global destinations, paired with a competitive tax-free salary, a generous 42-day annual leave policy with tickets for themselves and close family.
Additional benefits include housing in secure communities, an educational allowance for children, and comprehensive life, medical, and dental insurance, along with substantial travel discounts for family and friends.
Innovative Training for Pilots
New recruits undergo extensive, competency-based training to smoothly transition into their roles. Successful candidates will complete training at Emirates’ sophisticated pilot training facility in Dubai, which includes ten simulators within its sprawling 63,318 sq. ft. space, representing a $135 million investment. The facility hosts six Full Flight Simulator Bays for the A350 and 777X aircraft, set to open shortly.
