Qatar Airways Hits a Milestone with Starlink Installations

Qatar Airways has successfully equipped its 30th Boeing 777 with Starlink technology, dramatically reducing installation time.

Qatar Airways has reached a significant achievement by installing Starlink on its 30th aircraft, now providing connectivity on over 50% of its Boeing 777 fleet.

This progress follows just four months after introducing the world’s first Boeing 777 flight equipped with Starlink, outpacing its original goal for 2024 by a remarkable 70%.

By shortening the installation duration from two or three days to merely 9.5 hours, the airline has maintained operational efficiency without disturbing flight schedules.

CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer stated:

“We are delivering on our commitment to provide our passengers the best in-flight connectivity at an unprecedented pace.”

With this rapid rollout, Qatar Airways sets new benchmarks for in-flight connectivity, ensuring passengers can enjoy seamless internet service at altitudes of 35,000 feet.
