UN Tourism Announced Its Participation at Japan Expo 2025

UN Tourism is set to take the stage at the Japan Expo 2025 this April, featuring two groundbreaking events aimed at fostering a collaborative environment for global leaders, innovators, and decision-makers within the tourism sector.

These events emphasize UN Tourism’s dedication to inclusive progress and sustainable development in global tourism.

Celebrating Women in April
In line with International Women’s Day in March, UN Tourism will partner with Cartier in April to highlight the contributions of women in the industry during the Celebrating Female Founders event scheduled for April 28th. This event will occur at the Cartier Women’s Pavilion, showcasing regional winners from the internal challenge, followed by an engaging panel discussion and fireside chat. A key focus will be the launch of a competition aimed at empowering female-led, technology-driven startups that address critical issues in tourism.

A Platform for Investing in Global Tourism
On April 29th, the Global Tourism Investment Forum will convene at the UN Pavilion, designed to maximize UN Tourism’s influence at the expo. This forum will take place during Co-Creating Cultures for the Future Week and will emphasize the sharing of best practices alongside cultural collaborations, which will ultimately enhance investment opportunities in tourism. This assembly will attract leaders, investors, and innovators aimed at advancing funding strategies to revolutionize the sector.
