
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has officially opened nominations for its sixth edition of the Diversity and Inclusion Awards on February 20.
Nominations are invited from individuals and organizations that promote diversity and inclusion in aviation.
Nominations Categories
- The Inspirational Role Model Award: Recognizes a woman in a senior position in air transport who has significantly impacted diversity and inclusion globally.
- The High Flyer Award: For a female aviation professional under 40 demonstrating leadership in favor of diversity and inclusion.
- The Diversity & Inclusion Team Award: Recognizes an airline that has achieved measurable positive change through their diversity and inclusion efforts.
Winners will be unveiled at IATA’s 81st Annual General Meeting & World Air Transport Summit in Delhi, India on June 2.
According to Willie Walsh, the Director-General of IATA, advancing a gender-balanced workforce is vital for attracting a broader pool of talent into aviation’s career opportunities.
Antonio Schulthess, Chief People Officer of Qatar Airways, commented: ”Qatar Airways takes pride in sponsoring the IATA Diversity and Inclusion Awards, acknowledging the winners’ contributions to the industry’s growth and future.”
An independent judging panel, including last year’s winners and chaired by Karen Walker, will review nominations to select the winners.
