Belmond Names Alex D'Aguiar as Global Head of Restaurants and Bars

Belmond has appointed Alex D'Aguiar, a seasoned professional in food and beverage, as its new Global Head of Restaurants and Bars.

Belmond has appointed Alex D’Aguiar as its new Global Head of Restaurants & Bars as the company enhances its food and beverage offerings. Alex brings over 20 years of experience in the industry, having led successful restaurant and bar operations including those with the Gordon Ramsay Group and Goodman Restaurant Group.

In his new role, starting on March 12, 2025, Alex will collaborate with acclaimed chefs globally to improve dining experiences across Belmond’s hotels, trains, and lodges.

Iain Langridge, VP of Global Operations, stated, “Alex will be crucial in developing our restaurant and bar strategy, enhancing our guests’ experiences with a focus on ‘Slow Luxury.’”

Alex expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m honoured to join Belmond and contribute to its legacy of exceptional culinary experiences that fuse culture and design.”
