
Over 1.3 Million Visitors Enjoyed Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in 2024
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao witnessed a remarkable year with 1,301,343 visitors in 2024, nearly hitting its record from the previous year.
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao had an impressive year in 2024, attracting 1,301,343 visitors, just 2% shy of the all-time record set in 2023. May and June stood out as the museum’s best months, marking a significant achievement for Juan Ignacio Vidarte, the Director General.
Geographically, 67% of visitors were from abroad, with notable numbers from France (16%), Germany (8%), and the United States (6%).
The museum’s standout exhibition for the year was Signs and Objects: Pop Art from the Guggenheim Collection, which drew 882,658 visitors, while others such as Yoshitomo Nara and Martha Jungwirth were also highly attended.
The museum’s digital presence grew as well, recording nearly 2.9 million visits on its website and over 866,000 followers on Instagram.
This year also saw new educational programs engaging many participants, further enhancing its community outreach.
