Wizz Air to Restart Flights to Europe from Israel

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is set to resume flights from Israel to several key European destinations beginning January 15, 2025.

The low-cost Hungarian airline, Wizz Air, will resume flights connecting Israel to 10 major European destinations starting January 15. Notable routes include:

  • Rome
  • London
  • Milan
  • Vienna
  • Krakow
  • Bucharest
  • Athens

Additionally, flights will be available to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. This decision comes as many international airlines have temporarily suspended their operations to Israel amid ongoing conflicts involving groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Wizz Air previously announced a halt to its flights in October due to these geopolitical tensions. However, their recent move to resume operations appears associated with a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, even as uncertainties remain due to increased missile threats from Houthi forces.
