Macau Prepares for a Grand Comeback at ITB Berlin

Macau is set to showcase its tourism attractions at ITB Berlin, focusing on diversifying its markets.

Macau is set to make a stunning comeback at this year’s ITB Berlin from March 4th to 6th.

According to Macao Government Tourist Office (MGTO) chief Helena de Senna Fernandes, this is more than a showcase of the city’s attractions, but a crucial part of their efforts to diversify its tourist markets.

Fernandes acknowledged the challenges of attracting European visitors, particularly due to the smaller size and traditional vocation of its tourist partners in Macau.

Being present at ITB Berlin is considered necessary for increasing internationalization across tourist segments.

Prior to its appearance at ITB Berlin, MGTO will visit Dubai, UAE, on February 25 and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 27, for business-to-business meetings aimed at boosting arrivals from the Middle East.
