Launch of e-Visa for Indian Tourists to Israel

Israel has rolled out a new electronic visa system specifically for Indian tourists effective from January 1, 2025.

With the onset of the new year, the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) has initiated an electronic visa system tailored for Indian travelers starting January 1, 2025. This innovative digital solution is a significant advancement in the Israel-India tourism relationship, enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of the visa application process. Currently, the pilot scheme is available for Indian nationals residing in India, with plans to extend it to all foreign tourists visiting Israel.

The e-Visa platform promises Indian travelers a streamlined and fully digital application process, facilitating quick and convenient visa submissions from any location. It incorporates simplified documentation requirements and improves access for individual tourists, along with seamless alignment with Israel’s Entry Travel Authorization (ETA) system.

This initiative underscores Israel’s dedication to bolstering tourism relations with India, reflecting the growing importance of the Indian market to Israel’s tourism sector. Comprehensive information regarding the application process, requirements, and related fees are available via the official government portal.
