
Hong Kong Celebrates Lunar New Year with Panda-themed Festivities
Hong Kong is set to celebrate the Lunar New Year with vibrant activities featuring giant pandas, creating immersive experiences throughout the city.
Hong Kong gets totally Pandastic as it prepares to celebrate the Lunar New Year, supported by two giant panda cubs ready to make their public debut.
Born to resident giant pandas An An and Ke Ke, these new arrivals promise countless photo opportunities and a host of panda-themed experiences for the holiday.
To facilitate experiences, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) recommends the following panda-themed attractions throughout the city.

The Ultimate Panda Express
Hong Kong welcomes travellers with colorful panda displays located at various transit points like the Airport Express Line and High Speed Rail.
In addition to the visuals on train carriages, station concourses at Hong Kong and Ocean Park MTR will also feature panda decorations.

Pandas Everywhere
During the Lunar New Year festivities, visitors can expect numerous panda encounters around the city. Notably, a float featuring giant pandas will be part of the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade on January 29.
Moreover, giant panda-themed 3D billboards will pop up in busy areas like Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok from January 6 to early February, showcasing a panda’s journey through iconic attractions, including the Victoria Peak.
Events and Exhibitions
From January 17 to March 6, the PANDA GO! FEST HONG KONG at D·PARK in Tsuen Wan will feature over 800 panda sculptures with festive designs. Similarly, around 200 sculptures will be on display in Central Market from February 17 to March 6.
Panda-Themed Hotel Experiences
Several hotels in Hong Kong are also participating in the festivities. For instance, Regala Skycity Hotel offers a Panda Dim Sum collection and various panda treats. The Harbourview is serving a Panda Bamboo Bliss Afternoon Tea Set. Meanwhile, visitors at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel can enjoy a stay in the Panda Party Room, decorated with lush bamboo visuals.
