Collaboration Between Hotel Okura and Asset World Corporation
Japanese global hotel operator Hotel Okura Co, Ltd announced a new management agreement with Asset World Corporation (AWC), Thailand’s leading lifestyle real estate group.
Signed last December 19, this agreement aims to establish two new hotels: Okura Resort Chiang Mai in the historic city of Chiang Mai, and The Okura Prestige Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Spa in Bangkok’s trendy Thonglor district.
Both hotels are expected to open in 2028, increasing Hotel Okura’s portfolio in Thailand to seven establishments with over 400 additional rooms. Toshihiro Ogita, the president of Hotel Okura, expressed enthusiasm in building on their past successes, blending Japanese culture with local charm to provide world-class hospitality.
Key Features of the New Hotels
- Okura Resort Chiang Mai will be the brand’s first hotel in Northern Thailand.
- The Okura Prestige Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Spa will feature Japanese-style wellness services aimed at expatriates.
The partnership not only expands Hotel Okura’s Thai portfolio but also contributes positively to Thailand’s tourism sector, enhancing experiences rooted in Japanese hospitality.
