A&K Travel Group Unveils Leadership Changes in Asia-Pacific Region

A&K Travel Group announces key appointments to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific travel market, naming new vice-presidents for Australia/New Zealand and Asia.

In alignment with its unified operational strategy, the A&K Travel Group (AKTG) — the parent company of Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) and Crystal — has recently made significant leadership appointments aimed at enhancing its business in the Asia-Pacific region.

The appointments include Susan Haberle as the new Vice President of Sales for Australia/New Zealand and Tony Archbold as Vice President of Sales for Asia. These leaders will manage A&K and Crystal’s operations in their designated territories.

Simultaneously, Sada Memic has joined as the Director of Sales and Reservations Centre APAC, a newly established role following the promotion of Ann-Marie Chapman to Global Vice President of Education, Sales, and Service. Memic arrives with extensive experience within the travel sector and luxury property management, focusing on channel engagement and service excellence.

These strategic moves are part of A&K’s plan to bolster its market presence in APAC during a transformative period, which includes a substantial brand refresh and significant investment in product development. The goal is to offer a more varied and luxurious travel experience, ensuring both A&K and Crystal stand out in the luxury travel sector.

The renewed focus aims to reinforce AKTG’s commitment to trade partners throughout APAC, paving the way for growth in both brands, which includes expanding the on-road sales team representing A&K and Crystal.

Meet the New Executives
Susan Haberle, a veteran in the luxury travel industry, brings with her a wealth of experience crucial for propelling AKTG’s ambitions in AU/NZ.
Tony Archbold, a seasoned sales expert with rich insights into the Asian market, will spearhead sales strategies in Asia while collaborating closely with Evon Ler, A&K and Crystal’s Asia Director of Sales.
Debra Fox, AKTG’s managing director for Australasia and executive vice president for APAC sales, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Susan and Tony to their new roles at AKTG. This is an exhilarating phase for our organization. Their expertise in guiding our sales divisions in AU/NZ and Asia gives us the assurance to continue leading in the luxury travel market of the region.”
