Saudi Arabia’s Ambitious Aviation Goals to be Revealed at Arab Aviation Summit 2025

The 12th Arab Aviation Summit (AAS) is scheduled for February 17-18, 2025, in Riyadh, aiming to unite key industry leaders to discuss the future of aviation in the Arab world. This summit is regarded as the “voice of the industry,” facilitating the connection between public and private sectors to shape investments and policies that influence the aviation and tourism frameworks in the region.

This year’s theme, “Uniting Leaders, Building Tomorrow: Advancing Global Aviation,” underscores Saudi Arabia’s strategic aviation vision, which includes a $100 billion investment aimed at modernizing infrastructure and enhancing connectivity, reinforcing its position as a global aviation hub. Plans include increasing passenger traffic, introducing new airlines, and expanding major airports, possibly transforming global air travel.

The summit will welcome distinguished industry leaders such as Gabriel Semelas, President of Africa & Middle East at Airbus, Kamil Al-Awadhi, Regional VP of IATA, Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General of AACO, Majid Khan, CEO of Saudi Air Connectivity Program, and Osamah Alnuaiser, Senior VP of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Riyadh Air, who will share their insights on aviation policy, sustainability, infrastructure investment, and cutting-edge technological advancements.
