Cathay Pacific Announces Resumption of Flights from Hong Kong to Rome
The airline is set to relaunch its direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome starting this June, facilitating travel during the Catholic Church's Jubilee Year of Hope.
Cathay Pacific is expanding its global network by relaunching direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome starting on June 5th. This service will operate as a thrice-weekly summer seasonal service and marks the airline’s second direct connection to Italy.
Currently, Cathay Pacific offers five return flights to Milan each week, which will increase to daily flights this summer as well.
The newly relaunched service will utilize the Airbus A350-900, featuring fully flat beds in Business Class, spacious seats in Premium Economy, and comfortable seating in Economy Class.
This expansion is well-timed as it provides travelers from Asia with convenient access to Rome during the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope, a significant event marked by many celebrations and events at the Vatican.
Lavinia Lau stated, “Cathay Pacific’s history in Italy extends nearly 40 years back to when we first launched direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome in 1986. Our customers have eagerly awaited the return of this route, and we are thrilled to be back in Italy’s stunning capital this summer. Whether traveling for business, leisure, or the 2025 Jubilee festivities, we look forward to welcoming customers on board our flights and providing them with a world-class service.”
