Travelodge, the UK’s first budget hotel brand, which runs over 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland, and Spain, has secured a lease on the former Ibis hotel at The Bromley Mall in South East London.
Travelodge will start refitting the 59-room hotel this month, with plans to open it by Easter 2025.
Steve Bennett, Chief Property and Development Officer, stated:
“Travelodge is delighted to continue the expansion of our network of hotels throughout London. We have entered into a 25-year lease to operate this new hotel in Bromley, which we are certain will be a fantastic addition to our portfolio.”
Bennett also highlighted the high demand for budget accommodations in London, mentioning that many boroughs lack branded budget hotels.
Travelodge is currently managing 82 hotels and over 10,000 rooms in the London area, while continuing to expand.
There are three new Travelodge hotels under construction in London, located in Beckenham, Chiswick, and Stratford, as the Group seeks further development opportunities within the M25.
