ABTA Assures Travelers Amid Fuel Price Concerns
ABTA reassures travelers that their holiday plans are secure despite rising jet fuel prices influenced by Middle Eastern conflicts.
The Travel Association, ABTA, has moved to reassure holidaymakers that their travel plans remain intact despite recent concerns over jet fuel prices and availability following the Middle East conflict. ABTA has launched a new advice page to clarify the situation, which has quickly become one of the most visited sections on their website.
ABTA’s advice page, “Jet fuel prices and availability – what travellers need to know,” aims to dispel fears by explaining the current state of affairs and the protections in place for travellers. This initiative comes as customers express concerns about potential impacts on their holidays, particularly after some European airlines announced changes to flights.
The association has also utilised social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to spread this message, garnering around 100,000 views in just two days. Additionally, ABTA has engaged with broadcast and national media to further echo their reassurances.
Graeme Buck, Director of Communications at ABTA, stated, “Members are getting questions from customers about the availability of fuel and possible rising prices will mean for their holidays or future plans. In times of uncertainty, ABTA has an important role to support members and customers by providing clarity on what is happening and what it means for holidaymakers.”
ABTA, representing over 3,500 travel brands, continues to emphasise the strong protections and benefits of booking with its members, ensuring travellers can proceed with confidence.
