EkoStay Reaches ₹40 Crore Revenue Milestone

EkoStay, a Mumbai-based accommodation brand, celebrates significant growth by achieving ₹40 crore in revenue for the financial year 2025–26.

EkoStay, a Mumbai-based alternative accommodation brand, has announced a significant achievement, crossing ₹40 crore in revenue for the financial year 2025–26. The company, which has grown by 43% year-on-year, operates over 150 professionally managed villas across more than 12 leisure destinations in India, all without external funding.

Founded in 2018 by Husain Khatumdi, Sohail Mirchandani, Varun Arora, and Zishan Khan, EkoStay has maintained an EBITDA-positive status with approximately 10% margins. The company attributes its success to a disciplined, bootstrapped model that prioritizes operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Varun Arora, CEO and Co-Founder, stated, “Being bootstrapped meant every decision had to be efficient and accountable.”

EkoStay’s growth strategy focuses on repeat bookings and organic referrals, reducing reliance on paid acquisition channels. This approach has strengthened unit economics and driven demand in a capital-efficient manner. “Consistency in guest experience has been critical in building trust,” noted Sohail Mirchandani, COO and Co-Founder.

The brand’s expansion is demand-led, targeting high-traction leisure markets, particularly in South India, including the Nilgiris region. Zishan Khan emphasized, “Our focus has always been on identifying destinations where demand is structurally strong.”

Looking ahead, EkoStay aims to reach ₹52 crore in revenue by FY27 and expand to over 220 properties nationwide. The company remains committed to disciplined growth, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality guest experiences.
