Cathay Pacific has revealed its newly designed flagship lounge, The Wing, First, located at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The Wing, First, situated on the east side of Terminal 1, has been a cornerstone of Cathay Pacific’s offerings since the airport’s opening in 1998. This redesign continues the airline’s partnership with StudioIlse, a London-based design studio, enhancing the beloved aesthetic first established at the Pier lounges into a more residential and thoughtful environment.

Key Features of the Redesign:

  • Intimate Spaces: Designed to feel like a stylish Hong Kong home rather than a typical terminal lounge.
  • Privacy and Comfort: Offers enhanced areas for relaxation, work, and dining.
  • Holistic Environment: Aligns with wellbeing practices developed at The Pier First.

The atmosphere promotes a sense of sanctuary, featuring natural materials and warm lighting.

Design and Amenities:

The lounge will incorporate new treatment and relaxation areas, private work booths, and a refined culinary experience showcasing Hong Kong-inspired dishes. This redesign is part of Cathay’s broader lounge enhancement program, which includes updates at various locations including Beijing and a special new lounge opening in New York at JFK Airport.

In summary, The Wing, First aims to offer luxury travelers a serene and elevated experience, reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as a premier hub for international travel.
