The PC Agency has been appointed to manage PR for Destination Canada in the UK, highlighting the country’s appeal. Key events include the FIFA World Cup 2026, with matches in Toronto and Vancouver, and Ottawa’s 200th anniversary celebrations.

The year promises a wave of new hotel openings, enhancing Canada’s hospitality landscape. Vancouver will see the debut of The Arden Hotel, whilst The Alexander Spa Hotel in Canmore will offer a luxury wellness retreat. Banff’s Rimrock Resort is set to reopen, and Saskatoon’s Bessborough Hotel will undergo renovations to restore its historic charm.

Astrotourism is also on the rise, with Canada home to the world’s first Dark Sky Reserve in Québec. The Neqotkuk First Nation aims to become the first Indigenous Dark Sky Community, and New Brunswick plans to establish the world’s densest dark sky corridor along the Bay of Fundy.
