Club Med, renowned for its premium all-inclusive holidays, has announced a partnership with Central Group Capital to launch a new Exclusive Collection Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. This marks Club Med’s first Exclusive Collection Resort in Thailand and its second in the country, following the opening of Club Med Phuket in 1985. The resort is set to open in the second half of 2028.

Located a mere 25-minute drive from Koh Samui Airport, the new resort will offer a vibrant beachfront experience, celebrating the Thai island lifestyle. The 303-room resort will feature a private beach over 200 meters long, offering guests a range of sports and activities. The development will include expanded room capacity, upgraded guest rooms and public spaces, and new dining concepts. Signature Club Med programmes such as the Kids Club and Amazing! Family will provide tailored experiences for families.

Stéphane Maquaire, President and CEO of Club Med, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “This exceptional property situated on an exclusive beach along the coast of Koh Samui marks an exciting expansion in our portfolio.” Rachael Harding, CEO of ESAP at Club Med, added that the development reinforces their commitment to upscale holiday experiences.

Central Group Capital, a leading Thai business conglomerate, aims to capitalize on the tourism sector’s recovery through selective hospitality investments. Soravit Chairoj, Managing Partner of Central Group Capital, highlighted the unique attraction of Thailand, stating, “We are fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire and re-develop this beautiful property.”

The new resort is part of Club Med’s global network of over 60 Premium and Exclusive Collection Resorts across 25 countries, contributing to 13% of its global capacity.
