A collaborative effort by PATA Nepal Chapter and the Nepal Tourism Board aims to elevate Nepal's global tourism presence through the upcoming Himalayan Travel Mart.
The PATA Nepal Chapter and Nepal Tourism Board have entered an agreement to co-host the 6th Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM 2026) from June 1 to 4, 2026 at The Plaza in Lalitpur, Kathmandu Valley. This partnership is designed to enhance Nepal’s reputation as a premier global tourism hub.
HTM 2026 will be Nepal’s foremost international B2B travel and tourism trade event, attracting global buyers, sellers, industry professionals, media, influencers, and stakeholders. It aims to provide an engaging platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and business opportunities.
The agreement was formalized by Deepak Raj Joshi from the Nepal Tourism Board and Narendra Bhatta, the General Secretary and HTM Convener from the PATA Nepal Chapter. As per the agreement, the Nepal Tourism Board will serve as the “Organising Partner,” offering strategic coordination, facilitation, and financial backing for international delegates. The PATA Nepal Chapter will manage the planning, promotion, and execution of the event.
HTM 2026 will include a comprehensive agenda, featuring pre-event familiarisation tours to important sites such as Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Sindhupalchowk. The event will encompass the HTM Insight Forum, conference sessions, B2B meetings, networking events, and cultural experiences for international delegates.
This collaborative effort between the Nepal Tourism Board and PATA Nepal Chapter illustrates their commitment to promoting Nepal’s tourism visibility globally and generating meaningful business prospects within the sector. The Himalayan Travel Mart aims to position Nepal as the “Gateway to the Himalayas” and a venue for a “Lifetime Experience,” showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings while fostering international partnerships.
