Baltic Ground Services strengthens its partnership with Wizz Air, expanding their collaborative services at multiple Baltic airports.
Baltic Ground Services (BGS), a supplier of ground handling and aircraft fuelling services, has strengthened its long-established partnership with Wizz Air across various Baltic locations. This collaboration, initiated in 2011, now encompasses aircraft fuelling services at Tallinn, Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga airports.
The partnership has developed in line with Wizz Air’s expanding network in the area, including new routes connecting Vilnius to Tallinn, Helsinki, and Paris. Vitalis Dudys, BGS Group Head of Commerce, emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “Our long-term cooperation with Wizz Air reflects the consistency and reliability of our services across multiple stations.”
For Wizz Air, this partnership is crucial for ensuring stable operational partnerships. Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, stated, “Reliable fuelling services are essential to maintaining our operational efficiency, and having a trusted and dependable partner like BGS is instrumental in supporting our continued growth in the region.”
BGS operates at 10 airports spanning five countries in Central and Eastern Europe and is a member of the Avia Solutions Group, a significant entity in the aviation sector. Wizz Air, boasting a fleet of 232 Airbus aircraft, remains a top low-cost airline, annually serving millions of passengers and receiving numerous accolades for safety and sustainability.
This enhanced partnership is projected to bolster Wizz Air’s operational efficiency and aid in network expansion within the Baltic region, ensuring ongoing growth and service dependability.
