Malaysia Hosts 38th Travel Malaysia Fair in Singapore

This year, the Travel Malaysia Fair in Singapore showcased a diverse array of experiences catered to travelers.

Tourism Malaysia successfully hosted the 38th edition of the Travel Malaysia Fair from April 10 to 12, 2026, at the Singapore Expo Hall 6A. Organized by the Express & Excursion Bus Association (EEBA) in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia Singapore, this three-day event was inaugurated by Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, the Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore.

Featuring 22 booths, the fair attracted numerous visitors looking for deals on coach tickets, hotel accommodations, and travel packages. The event provided various curated experiences aimed at families preparing for the June school holidays, establishing itself as a prime venue for travelers to organize their mid-year escapes.

A New Approach to Cultural Tourism

During the fair, Tourism Malaysia launched the Craft Trail Packages, a unique cultural tourism initiative developed in partnership with the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation (Kraftangan Malaysia). These packages aim to highlight Malaysia’s rich traditional crafts through immersive and interactive experiences, with prices starting from as little as RM109 per person.

According to Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim, “Whether you are a traveler seeking meaningful keepsakes or a cultural enthusiast eager to uncover the stories behind Malaysia’s handmade treasures, this package invites you to discover some of the nation’s most iconic craft makers and witness their artistry brought to life.”

Visitors at the fair could explore a variety of new trails, including:

  • KL - Seremban Arts and Craft Trail: A two-day journey connecting guests with local artisans, featuring batik painting and sculpture-making.
  • Jemari Halus @ Kuala Lumpur: A day tour blending traditional craftsmanship with a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge.
  • Heritage and Handicraft Showcase: Multi-day explorations through Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, offering hands-on sessions in pottery, songket weaving, and wood carving.
