Hilton's Expansion Plans: 125 New Hampton Hotels in India by 2035
Hilton is set to launch 125 Hampton by Hilton hotels across southern and western India, addressing the growing demand for branded accommodation driven by an expanding middle class.
Hilton has announced a strategic partnership with Regenta Hotels Private Limited, part of Royal Orchid Hotels Limited, to establish 125 Hampton by Hilton hotels in western and southern India by 2035. This initiative is aimed at filling the supply gap in emerging cities and commercial hubs due to a rise in domestic travel and a growing middle class.
The agreement represents Hilton’s third strategic alliance in India, following collaborations with NILE Hospitality and Olive by Embassy. Alan Watts, President of Asia Pacific at Hilton, emphasized the potential created by India’s economic growth and infrastructure advancements, stating:
“Our new strategic partnership with the Regenta Hotels Group demonstrates our commitment to working with established local operators.”
New hotels will be located in key areas including Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, all significant contributors to India’s GDP with increasing demand for branded accommodations. Christian Charnaux, Executive Vice President at Hilton, remarked:
“This agreement further reinforces the global strength of the Hampton brand and our confidence in the long-term growth of India’s midmarket hospitality sector.”
Hampton by Hilton is known for its ‘Hamptonality’ service, and will adapt its offerings to suit local preferences while maintaining global standards. This expansion is expected to generate employment and offer quality stays for travelers across India. Arjun Baljee of Royal Orchid Hotels expressed optimism about this collaboration, stating it aligns with their vision to elevate India’s mid-market segment.
