Türkiye’s Kaçkar Mountains, located in the North Black Sea region, are set to host the International Kaçkar Tourism Fair from April 17 to 18, 2026 in Rize. Supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, the event aims to highlight the area’s unique natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The fair will feature panels, conferences, and workshops, attracting over 1,000 industry representatives and more than 3,000 visitors to the Rize Tea Bazaar. This initiative follows the successful KAÇKAR BY UTMB ultramarathon, further establishing the Kaçkars as a global tourism destination.

The Kaçkar Mountains offer diverse experiences across all seasons, with activities such as trekking, mountaineering, and skiing. The region is home to over 50 alpine lakes, lush forests, and rich wildlife, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Beyond natural attractions, the area offers cultural immersion, with eco-friendly accommodations and traditional local experiences.

The Kaçkars are also a wellness destination, with thermal springs and a focus on sustainable tourism. The region’s culinary heritage, featuring organic honey, mountain herbs, and renowned tea, adds to its appeal.

Following the fair, the 2026 edition of KAÇKAR BY UTMB will take place from September 11 to 13, further cementing the Kaçkars’ status on the world tourism stage.
