Leaders in Medical Tourism Gather to Shape Future at Seoul Conference

The recent Medical Travel Korea Conference provided insights and strategies addressing the future of medical tourism in Korea, focusing on partnerships and innovative solutions.

The 2026 Medical Travel Korea Conference, organized by Medical Travel Korea, convened on March 31 at the Seoul Tourism Foundation. Participation exceeded 300, encompassing stakeholders from hospitals, travel firms, and startups with a focus on future trends in medical tourism in Korea. Leading discussions addressed policies, partnerships, and strategies for attracting clientele, in addition to service and payment improvements.

Noteworthy speakers included Hong Seung-wook, who shared insights on trends for the coming years, while Kim Jin-guk tackled industry challenges and pathways ahead. Collaborative strategies were showcased by Park Won-hee and Ahn Deok-su, proposing synergies between medical facilities and gaming establishments to boost tourism appeal in Korea. Jo Seung-hee discussed optimizing Google Ads for patient engagement.

The conference also presented global growth opportunities identified by Lee Su-jeong while Lee Je-woo elaborated on methods to attract more international patients. Emphasizing the importance of effective medical interpreting was Choi Young-jun. Financial discussions included Woori Bank’s seamless medical payment memberships and Toss Payments presenting advantages of international payment solutions.
