
Jimmy Pelletier's Tour in Thailand Enhances Tourism Confidence
Canadian Paralympian Jimmy Pelletier's substantial tour across Thailand reinforces the country's reputation for safe and inclusive tourism.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in partnership with AFS Thailand, has celebrated the successful completion of the Jimmy Pelletier World Tour Stage 5. This 47-day cross-country handcycle journey, concluding on April 1, 2026, emphasizes Thailand’s dedication to safety and inclusivity in tourism, solidifying its status as a welcoming destination for international travelers.
Canadian Paralympian Jimmy Pelletier journeyed through over 30 provinces in Thailand, marking this as the only Asian destination in his 13-stage global tour. This effort highlights the Trusted Thailand initiative aimed at enhancing traveler confidence through stringent safety standards and comprehensive support.
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the TAT Governor, stated: “The successful completion of Jimmy Pelletier’s World Tour Stage 5 in Thailand showcases the efficacy of our Trusted Thailand initiative, proving our Kingdom is a safe, inclusive destination where travelers can explore with confidence.”
The tour commenced in Bangkok and traversed various cities including Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya, concluding in Nonthaburi. Throughout the tour, TAT collaborated with local partners to ensure a seamless and secure experience, enhancing Thailand’s reputation for dependable travel infrastructure and hospitality.
The event not only exhibited Thailand’s picturesque destinations but also reaffirmed its designation as a safe and inclusive travel hub. Highlights of the journey have been shared broadly, further elevating Thailand’s reputation as a premium tourist destination.
