Arrival of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for Riyadh Air

Riyadh Air is set to welcome its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, aimed for technical support and training.

In a significant step forward for its operations, Riyadh Air is eagerly awaiting the arrival of its initial Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This aircraft, which will serve as a technical spare and for pilot training, is set to be officially presented at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

With its striking pearl livery, this leased Dreamliner is distinct from the 72 aircraft originally ordered by the airline. It boasts a fully equipped interior designed to meet the standards expected by travelers flying with a modern, world-class airline. While the new cabin design will not be unveiled on this particular aircraft, its specifications are tailored to impress.

This strategic lease signifies Riyadh Air’s dedication to innovation and development in aviation. The aircraft will support ongoing training programs and is pivotal in obtaining the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the General Authority of Civil Aviation before the airline begins operations in 2025.

This acquisition reflects Riyadh Air’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to passengers and contributing to the broader aviation landscape in Saudi Arabia.
