Nautika Transforms Ferry Experience with QR Code Boarding System

Nautika's new QR code boarding significantly reduces check-in time and improves passenger efficiency.

Nautika, a prominent ferry operator in the Andaman Islands, has launched an innovative QR code boarding system, drastically reducing check-in times from 45 minutes to under 20. This enhancement has achieved zero delays in the past year, establishing a Six Sigma standard for operational excellence in the ferry sector.

Previously, passengers experienced long waits at check-in counters as staff manually verified various details. This often resulted in confusion, especially during peak tourist seasons. To combat this, Nautika developed a customized software system tailored to the unique conditions of the Andaman jetties. Now, passengers need only to scan a QR code at the boarding area to confirm their booking and receive instructions, all without paperwork or standing in queues.

The introduction of this system not only streamlines operations but also enriches the travel experience for the annual influx of 525,000 tourists to the Andaman Islands. Nautika’s ferries, including the premium Nautika Pro, now promise a seamless travel journey from start to finish, reinforcing the company’s image as a leading travel partner.

Anoop Kumar, Nautika’s Partner and Director, stated, “Our ships are the best in the world. They were built in Singapore and are made for speed and comfort. We hold ourselves to this standard: no delays, faster boarding, and passengers arriving calm and ready to enjoy the crossing.”

Nautika’s dedication to innovation and efficiency cements its position as a leader in ferry travel, with ongoing advancements in passenger service and satisfaction.
