Guía Repsol launches its fourteenth edition of Soletes, bolstering tourism for the upcoming Holy Week by presenting over 300 new listings across Spain that highlight natural beauty and rich culinary experiences.
Guía Repsol has launched its fourteenth edition of the Soletes to encourage travel during Holy Week, featuring over 300 new listings across Spain. This initiative aims to take advantage of spring getaways, ideally located near natural parks, historical buildings, or strategic resting spots during trips.
With a challenging winter for many destinations, spring arrives with renewed enthusiasm and a broad offering that combines nature, gastronomy, and accommodation.
María Ritter, the director of Guía Repsol, emphasized this edition’s goal: “We are eager to embrace the Spring Soletes this Holy Week. There is a strong desire to travel and discover new locations. This edition includes places renowned for their culinary offerings where you can comfortably stay, young businesses, and spots where nature is a key feature.”
New Listings Among the new Soletes are traditional restaurants and eateries within natural parks, intriguing bars in historic centers, and various accommodation options. Specifically, unique locations include the Sierra Norte de Sevilla, the Terres de l’Ebre in Tarragona, and the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park in the Aragonese Pyrenees, as perfect examples for exploration.
In urban settings, the listings feature stops in Cimadevilla (Gijón), Mérida (Badajoz), and Salamanca’s historic center, accompanied by surprisingly cozy proposals for travel breaks.
Some noteworthy places that blend gastronomy and relaxation include Silogía restaurant in Garachico (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and Venta Piqueras in Lumbreras (near Sierra Cebollera, La Rioja).
The list maintains its spirit of introducing appealing, dependable, and affordable experiences, where culinary adventures are set against unique backdrops. The current edition highlights the emergence of young businesses that have already gained recognition in their respective regions.
The awards ceremony for the Soletes took place at the Auditorium of Alcanar in Terres de l’Ebre, with the backing of the Tourism Directorate of the Generalitat and the Tarragona Province Council. Notable figures like Noemí Llauradó presented awards to numerous Soletes in the region, with delightful culinary tastings highlighting local delicacies like Delta duck, shrimp from La Rápita, and artichokes from Amposta.
In the organizers’ words, the Soletes stand out as commendable locations offering attractive and accessible options for all communities. With this edition, the total of establishments recognized with the yellow label exceeds 5,000, ranging from cafes to bars and restaurants, ensuring a reliable guide for those planning trip pauses during Holy Week and weekends.
