Christian Kremnitzer Takes Helm of IT Integration at Austrian Airlines

Christian Kremnitzer has been appointed as the Head of IT integration at Austrian Airlines, effective March 1, 2026, to enhance the airline's IT strategy and operations.

Christian Kremnitzer, 43, has taken the role of Head of Austrian IT and IT Integration at Austrian Airlines, starting on March 1, 2026. In this capacity, he will lead the management of the airline’s IT landscape in accordance with Lufthansa Group standards. His duties will encompass developing IT strategies, ensuring cybersecurity protocols, managing the application lifecycle, and executing a global IT service strategy.

Kremnitzer is succeeding Steve Beyermann and has substantial expertise in strategic IT, operational understanding, and digital transformation. Prior to this appointment, he managed HR Technology and People Analytics at Austrian Airlines since May 2025. His professional journey began with IT consultancy roles at BearingPoint and zeb, followed by senior positions at Raiffeisen Bank International AG.

Austrian Airlines connects over 120 destinations globally from its hub in Vienna Airport. As a member of the Lufthansa Group, the airline aims to maintain a neutral CO2 balance by 2050, alongside a target to halve net CO2 emissions by 2030 relative to 2019 figures. Their environmental management has been verified under the EMAS standard since 2023.
