Singapore Airlines to Begin Daily Flights to Hangzhou in June 2026

Singapore Airlines is launching daily flights between Singapore and Hangzhou, China, starting June 1, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to commence daily flights between Singapore and Hangzhou, China, starting 1 June 2026, pending regulatory approvals. This new route will be operated using the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, configured with 303 seats, including 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.

The inaugural flight, SQ838, will depart Singapore at 17:40 local time on 1 June and arrive in Hangzhou at 22:50 the same day. The return flight, SQ839, will leave Hangzhou at 00:10 on 2 June, reaching Singapore by 05:10.

This expansion marks Hangzhou as SIA’s ninth destination in mainland China, as the airline now serves a total of 22 destinations across the country. Dai Haoyu, Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, stated, “The launch of services to Hangzhou caters to demand from both leisure and business travellers to China. This new daily service deepens our presence in a key market for the SIA Group, and offers customers greater flexibility, connectivity, and choice when travelling between Singapore and China, and the wider region.”

Hangzhou is a notable tourist and business hub, known for its UNESCO-listed West Lake, Longjing tea plantations, and historic sites, also serving as a tech and e-commerce center in Zhejiang province. Tickets for this service will be available from 23 March 2026.
