The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi has received the prestigious Green Hotel certification from the Tourist Accommodation Premises Grading Panel under Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC). This commendation, valid until 2029, reflects the resort’s commitment to sustainable luxury and eco-conscious practices, aligning with Malaysia’s objectives for sustainable tourism by 2030.
The certification process examines properties on strict environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. The recognition was confirmed at the 2026 Panel Meeting No. 2, which underscored the resort’s dedication to environmental stewardship and responsible tourism.
