The Extraordinary Travel Festival (ETF) has published a report identifying the world’s most traveled individuals and their origins.
Based on a survey conducted during the festival held in November 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, the report indicates that a significant proportion of the world’s most traveled people originate from North America and Europe.
Survey Insights
- North America leads with 39% of the most traveled individuals.
- Europe follows closely at 35%.
- Asia ranks third with 16%.
- The remaining percentages include Oceania, South America, and Africa.
In terms of living situations, 38% of the survey respondents indicated residence in North America, 30% in Europe, and 14% in Asia. Additionally, 11% described themselves as nomadic, without a permanent home.
The report further notes that these frequent travelers tend to spend around 140 days annually traveling and take an average of 44 flights each year. In terms of demographics, participants had an average age of 49 years, while the youngest was 22 and the oldest 80. Notably, 62% of the attendees were male, with 38% female.
