easyJet Holidays Holds Annual DMC Conference in the UK

The event brought together delegates from various destination management companies to strengthen partnerships ahead of a busy summer.

easyJet holidays recently welcomed 80 delegates from 14 Destination Management Companies (DMCs) across Europe and North Africa to its fourth annual conference at CentreParcs Woburn Forest. The event, titled “Delivering More Together,” aimed to strengthen collaboration with partners as the tour operator gears up for its biggest summer season.

The three-day conference featured sessions on enhancing customer experience, utilizing artificial intelligence, and branding strategies for DMCs at arrival airports. A key highlight was the annual DMC Awards, where Eco Viagens was named DMC of the Year for its exceptional service in Portugal, Madeira, and Cape Verde.

Mel Birch, Operations Director at easyJet holidays, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Our rapid growth simply wouldn’t be possible without the support and dedication of our fantastic destination partners.” Birch also welcomed BDX, the new DMC partner for Spain, highlighting their role in ensuring seamless operations.

António Antunes, General Manager of Eco Viagens, expressed pride in receiving the award for the third time, noting the recognition as a testament to the team’s dedication. Daniel Perez Vicente, Global DMC Operations Director at BDX, described the partnership as a milestone and an opportunity to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The conference concluded with a visit to easyJet holidays’ headquarters in Luton, fostering further collaboration among partners. As easyJet holidays prepares for a record-breaking summer, the strengthened partnerships are set to enhance the holiday experience for millions of travelers.
