Sands China Makes Its Mark at Hong Kong's Art Central
The event highlights the talent of three upcoming artists from Macao.
Sands China is set to make its first appearance at Hong Kong’s Art Central from March 25 to March 29, showcasing the works of three emerging Macao artists. The company seeks to emphasize Macao’s cultural richness and promote its artists on a global platform. As the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise from Macao invited as an Associate Partner, Sands China will feature artworks by Lei Ieng Wai, Leong Chi Mou, and Dor Lio Hak Man.
The Sands Gallery booth will display multimedia paintings and thematic installations. Lei Ieng Wai focuses on optical exploration through structured color fields, Leong Chi Mou employs gilding techniques to evoke memories and landscapes of Macao, and Dor Lio Hak Man fuses delicate painting styles with urban life depictions. These artists, represented by the Macau Artist Society, are gaining recognition both locally and worldwide.
Art Central, a prominent event during Hong Kong Art Month, serves as a platform for creative exploration and cultural exchange. Since its inception in 2015, it has become a global hub for artists, collectors, and institutions. Established in 2022, Sands Gallery has hosted 12 exhibitions featuring over 60 artists from various countries, supporting Macao’s cultural and creative sectors.
Sands China’s involvement in Art Central reflects its commitment to enhancing Macao’s cultural landscape and boosting its international presence. By showcasing Macao’s artists, the company aims to generate new momentum for the city’s diverse development.
