SriLankan Airlines Facilitates ICC T20 World Cup Travel

SriLankan Airlines has successfully operated flights for teams participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ensuring seamless travel during the tournament.

SriLankan Airlines, in partnership with Charter X, has effectively organized seven special flights to support teams participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The flights, executed from February 8 to March 1, 2026, linked the host country, India, with its co-host, Sri Lanka, facilitating timely travel for teams from the United States, India, Namibia, England, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe.

The flight series commenced with UL1144 from Mumbai to Colombo, bringing Team USA to the tournament. This was succeeded by UL1145 from Colombo to Ahmedabad for Team India and UL1128 from Chennai to Colombo for Team Namibia on February 16. On February 17, UL1188 brought Team England from Kolkata to Colombo, followed by FL1128 which transported Team New Zealand from Chennai to Colombo on the 18th. Team Zimbabwe used UL1143 from Colombo to Mumbai on February 21. The series concluded with the final flight, UL1143 from Colombo to Mumbai on March 1, again carrying Team England.

This initiative by SriLankan Airlines underscores its dedication towards facilitating international sporting events, ensuring that athletes reach their destinations efficiently, and helping fans worldwide enjoy the cricketing action.
