Turkish Airlines Collaborates with Google for Enhanced Baggage Tracking

A partnership between Turkish Airlines and Google introduces new technology to streamline baggage recovery processes for travelers.

Turkish Airlines has teamed up with Google to enhance its baggage recovery process, integrating Google’s new Find Hub “share item location” feature. This collaboration enables passengers to use Find Hub-generated location links, allowing Turkish Airlines to swiftly resolve issues with misplaced or delayed luggage.

Passengers with a Find Hub-compatible tracker can generate a secure location link via the Find Hub app and share it with Turkish Airlines representatives. This provides the airline with precise information to locate and return bags more efficiently. The app allows passengers to control sharing, with links expiring after seven days and data encryption ensuring privacy.

Mehmet Yıldırım, Vice President of Ground Operations at Turkish Airlines, stated, “At Turkish Airlines, we continuously invest in cutting-edge, data-driven digital solutions to enhance the end-to-end travel experience of our guests.” Erik Kay, Vice President of Engineering at Google, added, “Find Hub is a truly unique experience for Android users thanks to our open ecosystem.”

This partnership underscores Turkish Airlines’ commitment to integrating advanced technology into the travel experience, maintaining its position as a leader in modern air travel. With a global network of over 350 destinations, the airline continues to prioritize passenger convenience and innovation.
