Andalusia Promotes Business Opportunities at ITB with German Tourism Professionals
Andalusia's Tourism Council enhances its business ties with German professionals at ITB Berlin, focusing on cultural connections and strategic initiatives.
The Tourism Counselor of the Junta de Andalucía, Arturo Bernal, engaged in a networking event titled “Surrender to the Andalusian Crush” held in Berlin. This event gathered over a hundred German tourism professionals and operators, aimed at jointly fostering business opportunities. The meeting took place during the International Tourism Exchange (ITB) where Andalusia outlined plans to enhance air connectivity with Germany and promote tourism during off-peak seasons, aiming to reposition the Andalusian brand.

During the welcome, Bernal emphasized that this gathering was “an opportunity to connect through culture and emotions, highlighting the essence of a destination that leaves an impact. Andalusia is not just a place to visit; it is an experience that resonates and is shared.” This perspective underlines the strong relationship with the German market based on a common language of quality, culture, respect for the territory, and authentic experiences.
The event took place in Wartehalle, a historic train station in Berlin, and featured representatives from various German enterprises including tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and media outlets, as well as authorities from Turespaña and local Andalusian governments. In addition to institutional speeches, the event showcased an artistic performance, “Interacción,” by Dorantes, representing the evolution of flamenco to contemporary expressions, creating a dialogue between tradition and innovation through music, effectively connecting diverse cultures.
