Epic Pass Provides Gen Z with Discounted Skiing Opportunities
Vail Resorts offers special discounts on skiing passes for the younger generation to encourage participation in winter sports.
Vail Resorts is enhancing access to skiing and snowboarding for Gen Z with a 20% discount on the 2026–27 Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass for those aged 13 to 30. This initiative aims to draw young skiers and snowboarders to Whistler Blackcomb and other top resorts globally.
The discounted passes are now available at a special price, starting at $869 for the Epic Pass and $649 for the Epic Local Pass. Rob Katz, CEO of Vail Resorts, emphasized the need to engage with younger generations, stating, “The future of the sport depends on the next generation of skiers and riders, and it is our responsibility to create a more accessible pathway for them.”
In addition, Vail Resorts is reintroducing Epic Friend Tickets, which allow early purchasers of the season-long Epic Pass to obtain 10 half-price lift tickets, encouraging pass holders to share their skiing passion with friends and family.
For those transitioning from single lift tickets to passes, discounts of up to $175 are available for guests who visited any of the company’s 37 North American resorts last season, enabling young travelers to secure an Epic Pass for as low as $694 or an Epic Local Pass for $474.
The Epic Pass grants access to Whistler Blackcomb and other prestigious resorts, offering various experiences, including curated trails and live music events, along with Epic Mountain Rewards and discounts on dining.
