Valpas Expands Globally with New Executive Appointments

Valpas enhances its team with four new executives as part of its global growth strategy in the hospitality sector.

Valpas, a platform dedicated to certified bed bug-safe hotels, continues to strengthen its team to support its ambitious global expansion as the new standard in bed bug safety and sustainable stays. To facilitate this development, Valpas has appointed four new executives to enhance its operations.

With these new hires, Valpas aims to establish a robust framework for safe and sustainable accommodation, ensuring every room is protected through real-time certification, which will be integrated into various OTAs and AI-driven platforms that shape the hotel booking process.

According to Martim Gois, the co-founder and CEO of Valpas: > “At Valpas, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal: to create a new standard of bed bug safety through chemical-free and sustainable technology across the global hospitality sector. Sofi, May, Enzo, and Claus enrich our diverse team of professionals and will be critical in expanding our business and achieving our targets.”

New to the team:

  • Claus Unterkircher is now the Head of Operations at Valpas and will spearhead the operational strategy to advance the company’s global growth. He brings a wealth of experience from senior roles in tech and mobility across multiple European countries, working with companies like Uber and Voi.

  • Enzo Aita, celebrated for his influence within the hospitality sector, takes on the role of Head of Ecosystem. Aita will leverage his 20 years of experience in business development to foster connections among OTAs and travel industry professionals to establish safer standards in hospitality.

  • May Hertonen joins as Senior Customer Success Manager. With over a decade of experience simplifying technology adoption in major firms like SAP, she will help hotel partners confidently implement bed bug-safe measures while protecting their reputation.

  • Sofi Laakso, the newly appointed Go-to-Market Manager, will draw on her experience from Nordic startups to launch Valpas’ technology and bed bug-free certification in targeted markets.
