Global travel insurance provider Zurich Cover-More has announced the appointments of Jon Ford as the head of Asia and Tricia Lim as the head of commercial operations and delivery in Asia on February 25.

These roles demonstrate Zurich Cover-More’s dedication to growing its travel business across the Asian market. This follows the firm’s establishment as Zurich Group’s global travel business post acquiring AIG’s Travel Guard in late 2024.

Jon Ford, currently heading partnerships for Zurich APAC, will additionally oversee the Asia travel division while retaining his current role. He will collaborate with Matthew Reilly, Chief Operating Officer of Zurich APAC, and Donna Dorairajoo, the head of international for Zurich Cover-More.

Ford brings over 25 years of international business expertise, having held leadership roles in insurance, technology, and consulting. His focus will be on driving sustainable growth and partnership development in key Asian regions. Previously, he served as the vice-president and regional head of partnership distribution for Chubb and led strategic regional partnerships for Accenture and Navitaire across the Asia Pacific.

Meanwhile, Tricia Lim, who has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and travel sectors, will support Jon Ford in expanding Zurich Cover-More’s operations in the region. Lim has been with Travel Guard in Asia for over two years.

In her new position, Lim will enhance operational excellence, ensure compliance, and manage partnerships, focusing on delivering high standards of customer service and seamless business continuity as the company scales its operations for future growth.
