Abercrombie & Kent Unveils Its Second Luxury Nile Riverboat for an Opulent 2028 Launch
Abercrombie & Kent announces the keel-laying of its second luxurious riverboat intended to launch in 2028, enhancing its offerings on the Nile.
Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has marked a major milestone in its Nile expansion, celebrating the keel-laying of its second luxury riverboat at The Arab Contractors shipyard in Egypt. This maritime tradition, indicating the commencement of construction, is a noteworthy step as they prepare for the boat’s anticipated launch in 2028.
A Boutique Nile Ship for Just 64 Guests
This new ship, created as a sister vessel to Nile Seray, will accommodate 32 suites with a capacity for only 64 guests, aligning with the intimate, spacious approach of its predecessor. Entry-level suites will start at 33 square meters, promoting enhanced comfort, privacy, and space compared to standard river cabins.
Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows and waterside Juliet balconies, enabling guests to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Nile. The most luxurious suites will feature expansive private balconies and outdoor spa pools, projecting the true essence of a “palace on the Nile” for travelers seeking elite indulgence.
Onboard Facilities: Spa, Pool, and Two Restaurants
Staying true to A&K’s luxury branding, the riverboat will feature a curated selection of amenities across several decks. Guests can indulge in fine dining options at two restaurants offering a variety of local and international flavors.
Wellness is a significant focus, with a spa comprising two treatment rooms, a fully-equipped gym, and a top deck designed for relaxation. The sun deck will be furnished with canopied daybeds, a swimming pool, and an outdoor bar offering panoramic views of the Nile Valley—perfect for morning coffees and evening cocktails as the craft sails past historic riverside landmarks.
Deepening A&K’s Long-standing Commitment to Egypt
This keel-laying underscores A&K’s deep commitment to Egypt, a major destination for the company since the 1970s. “Celebrating this keel laying represents another important step in our commitment to Egypt,” expressed Cristina Levis. She emphasized both the robust traveler interest and confidence in Egypt’s lasting allure.
Levis also highlighted that collaboration with The Arab Contractors underscores A&K’s dedication to promoting Egyptian craftsmanship and supporting the local economy, aligning this project with broader goals of responsible, luxury tourism rooted in local culture.
